Independent family owned funeral directors situated on the corner of Spring Road, Sholing, Southampton. There is customer parking, and also disabled access and facilities. We are pleased to announce that we have now opened our second branch, which is located on the other side of Southampton, near the Southampton General Hospital, in Aldermoor Road, Lordswood. A true family run business owned and managed by an experienced Funeral Director providing you with 24 hour personal service in your time of need. We are committed to providing a professional and personal caring service to our clients at all times. Waters & Sons Independent Funeral Directors Ltd offers first class funeral services, Low cost funerals from £995 + Disbursements, including pre-paid funeral plans, we are agents for Golden Charter and we are able to offer Eco-friendly coffins and woodland burials. Horse drawn funerals with black or white horses, funeral flowers, funeral catering, memorial stonework and orders of service can be arranged.

Waters and Sons Independent Funeral Directors Ltd offers first class funeral services, including pre-paid funeral plans, we are agents for Golden Charter and we are able to offer eco friendly coffins and woodland burials. Horse drawn funerals with black or white horses, funeral flowers, funeral catering, memorial stonework and orders of service can be arranged.
Chapel Of Rest
Our Chapel of Rest has been tastefully decorated and provides a serene environment, in which to visit the deceased before the funeral. Our chapel has been designed to allow easy wheelchair access. Should the family have any requests while their loved one is resting in our Chapel we are more than happy to make sure that these are met and their wishes are carried out.
Families are welcome to visit the Chapel at any time by arrangement. There is no fee for this service.
Brook Funeral £995 (Plus Disbursements)
The Brook funeral plan has been designed by us so that we can offer an economically priced funeral, which can take place at a time chosen by you.
This plan includes:
Funeral Directors services and arrangements.
Burial or cremation.
Provision of a simple coffin, fully fitted and lined.
Provision of funeral clothing - a white gown.
Single ended spray
Conveying the Deceased from a local address in office hours.
Provision of a motor hearse and four pall bearers.
Hearse direct to the crematorium or cemetery only.
This plan does not include the following
Cremation or cemetery fee's, Doctors Fee's, Ministers Fee's, Hygienic Treatment (Embalming) Viewing, a Limousine or any Disbursements, floral tributes, obituary notices, Additional Bearers etc, Also the Collection of Cremated Remains These can be arranged at an additional cost.

Simon and his son Craig are everything you would want from a caring professional service. At this hard time in life you need the support and advice of people that know and understand what you are going through. I would recomend them in a heartbeat and you will not regret it.

True Family caring Run Business
My family and I wanted to send her heart felt thanks to both you and your son for the way in which you conducted my dad's funeral last October, given his death was not expected we as a family were not sure as to which route was best to take, we had discussed the various options available and given it was the afternoon of his death we knew we had to get things in motion very quickly. The organisation of the funeral was perfect and the horse and carriage was out of this world, we couldn't have asked for more, we were impressed by the fact that you both kept fully updated at all times and given the cost of a funeral today you gave us the best value money could buy. Nothing was too much for you both and given that you are a family run business with not just us to consider and the fact that you had various other funerals ongoing at the time you did your upmost to ensure we were given your undivided attention. The most important point to mention is that given you were not on the recommendation list of funeral directors were are so pleased that we came across to see that we came to you that afternoon and to this end it is nice to know that we were just not a number and that we have kept in touch and still pop in to see my family and I, for a cup of tea and slice of cake! I am absolutely sure to this day that we had made the right decision to go with Waters & Sons being a family run funeral director rather than a large corporation. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending you in anyone who has recently suffered a bereavement and also with the understanding that even though you have suffered a loss Simon and his Son will still be there to comfort and guide you. The aftercare service is next to noon, which is equally important as is sorting of a funeral.

The personal touch
In a business full of pre-packaged inpersonal services, it was nice to find the human touch. Simon and his team were with us for the 12 months of the decline of my dad due to cancer and helped us say goodbye to our fantastic dad at a very sad time. Everything was done with immense respect and with dignity, but Simon also shared the smiles with us as they came along in the journey. Everything from the service to the flowers wents smoothly and without any stress, all you can ask for on such a sad day. A fully deserved recomendation.
