  I visit basmati at least once or twice a month. And it is excellent every time. I love to try new dishes, and like me if your unsure just ask for advice. The fish dishes are the best Ive had in an Indian Restaurant. Try the Talpia Biaran fish. Its amazing.

• Our Indian Restaurant

  We go to basmati, at least 2 or 3 times a month. Sit down and takeaway. Time we did our review. I really cant fault this restaurant in any way. Always excellent food and service. And the rare occasion they made a mistake on our takeaway order, it was quickly rectified with no fuss. Theres always a nice atmosphere too. They can be very busy at times, so try and book, or order your takeaway early.

• yummy basmati

  Discovered this restaurant just a couple of months ago after getting a menu through the door. Ordered a takeaway. Really happy with it so we booked a table for the saturday. The food was fantastic. the staff really friendly. Only downside was that they were so busy it took a bit longer than normal. but it was worth the wait. been back a couple of times more. and has been good every time.

  This has become our regular spot on a friday night before we go onto the talisman, another of our favourites. The best food in the area, with excellent service.

• Simply the best!

  This is definately the best restaurant in the area. I have used all the indian restaurants in fareham, some in southampton and wickham. But the quality of food and service here is the best. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The chicken is welfare audited, and they even go to the extent of using some fair trade produce. The new management have taken it over recently and things have definately improved. Its the only place my wife and I use now. There is a mix of old and new dishes on the menu and food presentation is excellent. Fridays and Saturdays has become a must book affair now, even for us regulars. Ask for Ozzie or Tito if you need any help with anything. They are the friendliest waiters you will find.

• Best Indian in Locks Heath area

  In its previous identity they always served the best food in the area. As Basmati the decor has improved and the food is even better. Highly recommended.

• Great Food amd Service

  I have been using this restaurant for many many years, but since ozzie, the new owner took over, things have improved. The food has always been good, but there is a noticiable lift in the quality and taste. The new decor is also very nice and creates and nice ambience.
