SOLENT Relocation

Moved 4 bed house contents into storage at Southampton from Chandlers Ford. Shoddy packing. Did not have vehicle large enough. Staff pleasant and notably they described not enjoying working for company. Tthey said that only local moves and moves into storage tended to be made but they had no recollection of travelling long distances. At last minute, they refused to move contents from storage to Nottingham unless we paid several hundred pounds more than originally agreed to move to the agreed pre-specified location. Use another company to move out of storage. Many items irreparably damaged or lost. Making Moves inevitably blamed other company for all damages. Don't use these dishonest cowboys. No replies to my subsequent correspondence either. Advertising paraphenalia far more glossy and impressive looking than the terrible company it really is in my experience. Wouldn't recommend even to my worst enemy.

Making Moves had given us a quotation when Mr Singh came round to conduct a pre-move survey, he was very understanding with what we wanted done, Making Moves sent a large removal truck and moved us into Kensington, London. The even provided us with an unpacking service and put all items back together. Me and my wife will highly recommend Making Moves. Thank you

I was in the process of negotiating a quote with this company, when in reply to an email I sent them, they told me to " use another company. stop correspondance". Am quite certain that I sent nothing offensive to them - I only enquired as to if they had a van that was smaller than 7.5 tons - On enquiring as to what I'd done wrong they told me I was a time waster. I have to say, it left me rather shaken!
