• They dont like old bikes

  I have used Double take a few times and have always been impressed with the service. That was until recently when I took my 1993 Transalp to them for an MOT. They fixed the first few problems to get it through then failed it again saying it had a bent frame or swing arm since they can’t get the wheel alignment correct. So took it to another garage for 2nd opinion/MOT after loosening everything off re aliening at home where it passed the MOT with only 2 advisories and no mention of bent frame or swing arm. So the moral of the story is if you have a new bike take it to DT if you have an old battered trail bike avoid.

• Dont like old bikes

• excellent no matter what people say

  doulbletake boys are excellent and no matter what people they dont rip you off or charge you for things you dont need they help you with what needs doing and if i could vote them better i would they are a bunch of very nice people and an excellent company

• Excellent service

  I have taken my bike to double take for the last three years and I would highly recommend them! I have been able to watch the MOT take place each time and once completed they have explained the results and any problem areas. The brake test as explained to me is either pass, fail or pass and advice snd it sounds like you brakes were within tolerance so they passed and advised them without charging for new brake discs. I have never had any problems in the past and I would recommend them in the future.

• Impressive Loyal Service

  Even though I may not have as much experience of riding bikes as Nick & Chris they still treat me as an equal (even if I am a lady at times). My husband and I have taken our bikes to them since they first opened. We will always recommend them to friends and I have found that they will always try and accomodate my needs (even if I do give very little notice on my MOT running out).

• tried to charge me for something i didnt need!

  i took my bike in for an MOT! they said that my brake discs were really bent and i desperatly needed a new set which wouldve cost me £400 but they still passed my bike! so when i left the shop i got a friend to check my discs with one of those dti machines and they werent bent at all and the bike feels fine when i brake! as for proffesional manner they didnt have any! i wouldnt recommend these guys to anyone

• outstanding service

  I came across Double Take a few mths after they opened. So far they have serviced my gsxr750 z1000 and they have done some work on my bmw r1150r. I have always found both Nick and Chris very competent in the work that they carry out and the advice that i have been given over the years and i always recommend them to anyone looking for work being done on their bike. With them being bikers also, they treat your bike as if it was their own. I have also just had a tyre puncture repaired and was extremely satisfied with the repair and advice given.

• Friendly Professional Service

  Ive been taking my motorbikes to Double take for over the last 4 years, I used to use another local dealer but after a friend suggested them to me ive always been back. I find the friendly but professional atmosphere very welcoming and ive always been satisfied with the work carried out on my bikes. The work has always been carried out well, and on a few occasions they've helped me out of tight spots with advice and information. Id recomend double take to any biker, whether its a sports bike or scooter. I feel that its the only bike shop in southampton that actually feels like a bike shop and not a dealer trying to sell you new kit all the time.
