My husband spent over £100 for a Hi-Design handbag for me for our anniversary. About 13 months later the zip came apart so I took the bag back to Boros. They told me they would send it back for repair, and it would cost me £35 because the bag was just out of guarantee, but 3 weeks later I had a phone call to go to the shop. I was told the bag would not be repaired so they would give me a £50 credit note to compensate. They told me that that was more than their supplier had given them and I also did not get my bag back!! I was disgusted with this. There is not much I can get for £50 even in their sale. I would not recommend their store. I have handbags that are many years old and well used and the zips are still perfect. Obviously the zip in the hi-design bag was faulty. Very BAD service...
I left a message for Samsonite area manager Vince Mobile 07760178031 for him to call me, this call has never been returned. On 8th June I contacted Samsonite UK 020856444222 (Germaine) who said she would investigate and get back to me. On the 11th June she informed me the store had made a mistake and would be refunding me the difference, Expressing her surprise that they had not already contacted me she undertook to chase up. On the 13th June I still had not heard anything so I called again. She told me that she would again speak to the area manager. I expressed my dissatisfaction that I had made 2 international and 1 mobile call and I suggested she call me when she had proof that the store had reimbursed me. Today 25th still not having heard anything I contacted her again to be told she had spoken to Boros manageress who said she had reimbursed me. Obviously this is not true and she went on to inform me that Samsonite had reimbursed the store in full; Not much consolation to me. As I am not going to spend any more money on international calls I await a response from Samsonite as to what action they are going to take to have me reimbursed for the goods and the cost of my calls. At the end of the dayl it is they who issue the guarantee and if they have so little control over their dealers actions then perhaps the selection of their dealers requires closer scrutiny.
I purchased a Samsonite Sky Walker case from this company and after using it twice the shell split. I returned the case (10 year guarantee) with its original purchase ticket and was told it would be returned to Samsonite. After 7 weeks I heard nothing. On calling the store I was told they would check. They told me Samsonite said they should replace it. I visited the store to be told that they did not have a replacement and they offered me a smaller case which they said was the same as I had returned. They then explained that the £10 price difference on THEIR price tickets was accounted for by the cost of them returning it to Samsonite. I have now refered this matter to Samsonite for their views
