An excellent B&B

Hunters Lodge is only about 10 / 15 minutes walk from the city centre and only about 10 minutes walk from Southampton Common – excellent place to go for a walk. Located on a quiet street so no traffic noise at night. I stayed here in May 08. My single room was compact but very comfortable and nicely decorated. A good quality bed, nice ensuite with a decent shower and all spotlessly clean. The owners (Jim and Josie) are very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Good breakfast. Far superior (and, at �£44 per night for my single room including breakfast, significantly cheaper) than a Travel Lodge! All in all, one of the best value places I’ve ever stayed at in the UK.
