thank you for a great night of real historic food, we all had a good night, a little pricey but was worth it.
The service is good and the building is stylishly decorated with grand chandeliers and comfortable seats housed in a giant pagoda. Have been going here with family for years for dim sum and it has been consistently good. Their roast duck and pork is good when it's fresh and the sisters love their mango pudding. It's a great restaurant, but I do warn you to check your bill's total as we've had a few problems in the past.
The Dim Sum/Yum Char here is as good as the best in London and is better than most. The staff are very friendly and service is top notch. I do notice a lot of customers order of the main menu in the afternoon when we go but they are doing it wrong. Ask for the DIM SUM menu and enjoy the fabulous, fabulous food and tea.
Kam's Palace IS the best Chinese restaurant on the South coast, possibly all of Britain. For those seeking genuinely delicious and authentic Cantonese cuisine, search no further. The morning tea (or 'dim sum') is available through the week, and draws crowds of Chinese diners from London (away from shoddy Gerard Street), even from the Far West! This is the finest dining experience you will encounter
Disagree with the previous review - Kams is now non smoking apart from the small reception area - the food is simply the best with great variety and superb service.
Meal spoilt by 2 chain smokers on adjoining table. Too many waiters giving the impression that they wanted you to eat then go. Food acceptable but not great. Menu has variety. The restaurant looks better than the actual food.
