• Lovely atmosphere

  My husband and I stayed here after our wedding. We had a lovely stay. The service and food were excellent. The room had a great view. We would definately use the hotel again.

• Balmer Lawn Hotel - a great stay

  My new husband and I stayed at the Balmer Lawn Hotel - www.balmerlawnhotel.com for our wedding night, which is situated in Brockenhurst in the New Forest. It was a wonderful hotel and we received excellent service. The facilities in the hotel and around it were excellent. There were so many activities available. The food was very good, and of a very high standard. We were so pleased with the decision that we made, and will definitely go back. This is a great New Forest Hotel. It would have made a great wedding venue, but unfortunately it was already booked for the day we wanted.

• Disappointment

  We booked a room, admittedly last minute, and due to the positive feedback from review sites and images on-line were willing to pay the premium price to make the most of our limited time away. Unfortunately the quality of the room, or lack of, spoilt our time away to the point where we could not relax or spend any time in it. In particular the paint was peeling, the wallpapaer marked and there was rubbish on the floor. Generally the decor was dated and worn and not worth the price we paid. To say that we were disappointed would be an understatement, I would simply never stay here again!
